It’s not yet winter here in Australia. But I’ve found these gardening tips helpful when winter comes. After all, winter is not a great time to do gardening. But this doesn’t mean that you would just neglect your garden. If this happens, you will see the plants die, leaving your garden look dull and unhealthy. First, you should prevent soil degradation which often happens during winter. This results to loss of nutrients which may damage your plants. Second, learn to have backyard composting. This will make the soil becomes healthy. Third, you should remove the unneeded moisture. Moisture always happens during winter and you need to make sure that your gutters are draining well. Lastly, stop adding fertilizer. This is to prevent new growth of plants. There are other tips which are provided and you may discover them here: http://sustainablog.org/2013/01/protecting-garden-space-winter/
